Message

The Mechanical Engineering Department strive to "train the brains and skill the hands" with the aid of well - qualified and experienced faculty and ultra-modern equipments and laboratories. A wide range of industrial applications are experimented in Mechanical Engineering Laboratories, where students can utilize their time and resources to practically implement every conceivable idea through the well equipped laboratories and workshops. Besides the workshop (Comprising Machine shop, Fitting, Sheet metal, Welding, Foundry, Forging, etc.). Department has 13 fully developed Laboratories including M.Tech Lab. Of the many engineering disciplines, mechanical engineering is the broadest, encompassing a wide variety of engineering fields and many specialties. Although it is commonly assumed that mechanical engineers are automotive engineers, in fact, they are employed in an enormous range of technical areas including: air-conditioning , automatic controls ,aerospace, fluid dynamics, robotics, biomechanics, acoustics, computer-aided design, turbo machinery, teratology and energy management, just to name a few. The mission of the Department is to mould Mechanical Engineers for the dissemination of knowledge and technology, and development of innovative solutions to problems in these fields.
